It's been so busy here lately, with the end of the school year events and sports and all of the local springtime fun! I love it, my house is a wreck and I am probably forgetting to send in a form, but it's been lots of fun. We have officially entered the playing-outside-regular-popsicle-eating-outdoor-toys-everywhere phase of spring.
We spent part of this past weekend at the Philly Gluten Free Expo and word is that it will return again next year. If you are a gluten-free eater, go next year! It was awesome and lots of local businesses were represented, even our friend Dana at Magical Moments Vacations was there helping gluten-free folks navigate Disney!
We also visited the Philadelphia Chinese Lantern Festival in Franklin Square to give you a little peek at what is there. It's a very cool exhibit and fun for kids as well!
This coming weekend is Memorial Day weekend and while it marks an unofficial start of summer, it also is a time to honor those who have died serving our country. Read more about some of the history behind Memorial Day in this week's newsletter and share it with your children.
Finally, this week I had the chance to meet Joe Milito of Milito's Ristorante - Bar - Pizzeria in Downingtown. If you have not yet been, take the family and enjoy some amazing food in a friendly and wonderful atmosphere (or grab your date and hang out at the Lounge!). My recommendations? Well it's hard to choose but I'm an appetizer kinda girl and...those braised meatballs? Yum! (...and the Addie's Crsipy Cauliflower, and Sac's hot peppers and...) Enjoy ;) Eat local!
