In 2004, PA Leadership Charter School, (PALCS) opened its doors to 340 students educated by eight teachers, but it now serves over 2600 students and has a faculty of 147 highly qualified teachers. The class of 2016 consisted of 281 seniors, with more than 50 students receiving academic awards.

PALCS is a public, cyber, charter school that serves students across Pennsylvania in grades K-12. Teachers create and design their own curriculum, allowing lessons to be individualized to their student needs. PALCS follows all of the state standards, as it is both funded and approved by the state.

In addition to our cyber model, PALCS offers two unique programs; Center for Performing and Fine Arts (CPFA) and University Scholars Program (USP). Students participating in CPFA focus on the four disciplines of theater, music, dance, and fine arts. This program is open to students in grades 6-12 via an audition process. USP is a program for gifted and motivated students who are looking to be challenged. Students are taking AP, Honor, and College Prep courses and participate in rigorous activities and research projects.

PALCS offers many opportunities for students to interact with one another offline, including field trips, clubs, junior and senior prom, and a beginning and end of school year picnic.

Online education is a public school option for students and families seeking a different educational journey. Students not only learn academic skills with PALCS, but they develop life long skills, such as time management, self-discipline and self-motivation, along with building relationships with students across Pennsylvania.
