The new school year is approaching! Are you ready? Goshen Friends School, located at 814 N. Chester Road in West Chester, still has select openings in several of our Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten programs.
Our Preschool curriculum emphasizes the Quaker values of simplicity, peace, integrity, community, equality, and stewardship in a nurturing environment focused on building independent learners who are prepared for Kindergarten. Six different classes are offered for children ranging in age from 2.7 to 5, including 2-, 3-, 4-, and 5-day options. Programs are based on the philosophy that children learn through dynamic play and are designed to help children grow academically, creatively, spiritually, and socially. Our multidisciplinary curriculum builds early math and language arts skills while inspiring curiosity and a love of learning. All Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten students also enjoy specials classes in Spanish, Art, Music, and Outdoor Education.
For the littlest learners in the community, Goshen Friends offers a By My Side program for toddlers and their grown-ups. This program gives young 2-year-olds a gentle introduction to Preschool with the comfort of a parent or caregiver close by. Experienced Preschool teachers lead the program and encourage growth in motor skills, imagination, and cooperative play. Enrollees must be 2 years old by September for the fall semester of By My Side or by February for the spring semester.
