Cookie Cutters Haircuts for Kids' goal is to ensure that children’s haircuts are as stress-free as possible. A few tips to help make this happen:
- Schedule their appointment for when your child is rested.
- Talk to them about what they are going to see and do. Make it sound fun!
- Let them “play” hairdresser- maybe even give a loved one a little comb and spritz.
- Read a story about getting a Haircut or Hair care.
- Make sure their bellies are full.
- Be prepared with a favorite cartoon in mind.
- Be prepared with a cut in mind, bringing pictures helps the stylist know exactly what you would like.
The shorter time the child is in the chair and is back to playing the more enjoyable the haircut will be for them. Working together with the stylist to get the child in the chair and distracted by the fun helps make the time fly by!
