Take Your Family On A Chester County Holiday Door Tour

November 8, 2021

West Chester Public Library and lead sponsor CTDI invite you to find your holiday spirit on the library’s family-friendly, socially distanced Holiday Door Tour. Beginning Saturday, December 4, and running through Sunday, December 19, this self-guided event will feature dozens West Chester doors and porches decorated by their owners in holiday finery.

The Holiday Door Tour, launched in 2020 as a pandemic-safe substitute for WCPL’s popular annual Holiday Home Tour, proved to be so popular with local families, the library decided to run it again alongside its returning Holiday Home Tour. To attend the Holiday Door Tour, make a donation of any size to the library at wcpubliclibrary.org or at the library main desk at 415 North Church Street. The generous donations of the library’s Door Tour sponsors have built a starting Appeal fund of $15,000, which is intended as a challenge to Tour-goers to match and even surpass. Donors will receive Door Tour maps, an entry in our Holiday Raffle, and a list of scavenger hunt items to look for among the decorations.

Holiday Raffle Prizes include a framed print of “The Reading Room” by acclaimed West Chester artist John Suplee, a lottery ticket tree, a book-page holiday wreath, tickets to Longwood Gardens, and tickets for next year’s Holiday Home Tour. The drawing will take place at the library at 4:45 pm on December 21.

All proceeds from the Holiday Tours will benefit West Chester Public Library and the community it serves.
