Earlier this summer this group of hard working athletes competed in the Junior Nationals in Colorado where they swam, ran, jumped, threw, swam, and competed in triathlons and air gun competitions. This group of athletes is comprised of local students and they work and train through the PA Center for Adaptive Sports. They train regularly at Henderson High School and range in age from ages 8 to 18 and are all a part of Team PCAS.
After months of training and preparation the team traveled to Denver Colorado in July to attend the Move United Junior Nationals Their hard work paid off when they earned the 2nd place team title. In addition to that national recognition as a team they had athletes medal in every event but one. In addition to those impressive accomplishments, many of these local kids achieved personal best performances and. a few national records.
