Baseball is back in action and a Phillies baseball game can make for some exciting family fun! We've grown up as Phillies fans and are raising two Phillies fans as well. We've enjoyed games as a family since our oldest was little. Games are definitely different now that our kids are more grown-up but a Phillies game can definitely be Phamily-Phriendly. Here are ten things we have loved about going to a Phillies game as a family:
- Helmet sundeas - I don't think we have ever gone to a Phillies game where we haven't had Helmet sundeas. We have quite the collection of helmets and they are a sporty and delicious treat.
- Fun promotions - the Phillies always have a great lineup of promotions and giveaways (Bobbleheads, anyone?)
- All of the food. But I can't pass up Crab Fries for dinner from Chickie and Pete's. Citizens Bank Park has an incredible food selection for everyone in your group - vegetarian? foodies? gluten-free? There are so many delicious options.
- Dollar Dog Night - We love all of the delicious options but there's just something about having a hot dog at a ballgame and Dollar Dog Night means we are feasting on the cheap (more room and funds for helmet sundeas!)
- The Phillies Kids Club - kids can become members of the Kids club which has some fun perks and swag.
- Family and Feeding Friendly - there are several family restrooms as well as Nursing Rooms
- Kids 2 and Under are free and can sit on your lap
- The Yard - get to the game early so your kids can have fun at The Yard - with a Hot Dog launcher, a wiffle ball field and other kid-friendly fun, they won't want to leave - so get there early and allow time to play before you head to your seats.
- Watching the pitchers warm up in the bullpen - over near Ashburn Alley fans can watch the pitchers from both teams as they warm up.
- Commemorate your kids' first Phillies game - head to Guest Services where your kids can get a certificate for attending their first Phils game!
