Yoga with Ms. Rebecca just celebrated one year in business, and the fun continues this fall!
Children who participate in yoga at a young age reap a variety of benefits from their practice. Some of the many include: improved concentration and focus, reduced stressed and anxiety, help with self-control, emotional well-being, and physical benefits like improved flexibility and strength. The list goes on and on! Many parents want to introduce their children to yoga, but aren't quite sure where to begin.
Yoga with Ms. Rebecca is a Chester County-Based business that introduces young children to yoga in an accessible, age-appropriate, and fun environment. Classes are based around an engaging theme and can include stories, singing, partner/group work, and of course.... movement! Children are encouraged to have fun and enjoy themselves while also learning breathing techniques and yoga poses. Caregivers often join in too, which is a great way to connect with your child and model healthy living habits.
Some of the many fun fall events include:
Calling all Swifties!!!!! We're in our yoga era. Enjoy a night full of yoga, friendship bracelets, pizza, dessert, and of course... Taylor Swift music! Parents can enjoy 3 hours to head out on a date night/ run errands/ or just spend some much needed time to themselves.
Connect with your toddler through monthly yoga classes at Design Life Kids. Each class will include a fun theme, yoga for child and adult, and an age-appropriate craft.
Spend a magical morning practicing yoga in a secret garden. We'll read a fairy story, practice yoga, and then create terrarium fairy gardens. We'll top off the morning with pink lemonade (and mimosas for the grownups!) BYO Yoga Mat. Space is limited to the first 10 children due to the size of the garden. (3 spaces available)
Visit Jumpers Indoor Fun Zone a half hour before opening for a special children's yoga class. The whole family is invited to participate! Then, stay and jump away your energy. For more information, or to purchase tickets, visit: https://www.funatjumpers.com/book-online
Come practice yoga with a real pumpkin this fall! We'll listen to a pumpkin story, practice yoga, and then decorate our pumpkins. At the end of class, your child can take their pumpkin home as a fun fall decoration.
Looking for something to do with your toddler/preschool-aged/homeschooled child? Come practice pumpkin yoga in a less crowded setting!
No School = More time for Bluey Fun! Come celebrate all things Bluey. We'll practice yoga, listen to Bluey music, choose a stuffy to bring home at the end of practice, AND create Bluey sand art.
Come enjoy a magical morning with your littlest yogi. During our Teddy Bear Picnic, each child will choose a new teddy bear to practice yoga with, and then take home at the end of the day. We'll listen to a teddy bear story, act out the story through yoga, and then have a picnic complete with tea, lemonade, and some fun pastries. |
Wondering what to expect? Children's yoga classes look much different than a traditional adult yoga class. Children are encouraged to take risks and have fun! There is time built into each class to practice breathing, mindfulness, and relaxation. There's also time for song, movement, and play!
Yoga with Ms. Rebecca is also booking through the late fall and winter. Perfect for PTO/PTA/Home and School events, scouts, preschools, fundraisers, play groups, or even private parties. To plan an event, visit: Yoga with Ms. Rebecca on Facebook, or email: Dunlevy.rebecca@gmail.com.
