At Goshen Baptist Preschool, children engage in developmentally appropriate play-based, hands-on learning under the guidance of caring Christian teachers in bright and spacious classrooms. They enjoy expanding their gross motor skills on our playground and in our large gym. Our mission is for children to have a positive first school experience that helps them grow emotionally, socially, physically, cognitively and spiritually.
We have classes for 3, 4 and 5 year olds including a 5 day morning program!
3 Year Olds: Children must turn 3 by Sept. 1 to attend 3 days or by October 31 for a 2 day program. Emphasis is on social, emotional, and fine and gross motor development with lots of exposure to literacy and early math concepts.
PreK 1: Children must turn 4 by Sept. 1 for enrollment in either the 3 day or 4 day classes. The curriculum aligns with PA Standards for Early Childhood/Pre Kindergarten, with an emphasis on literacy and early math readiness. PreK 1 classes prepare children for entering Kindergarten the next school year.
PreK 1+: Children must turn 4 by Sept 1. This class is a 5 day program for students whose parents desire a full week morning program or for students who miss the cut off date for entering Kindergarten. The curriculum aligns with PA Standards for Early Childhood/Pre Kindergarten with emphasis on literacy, writing, and math readiness for Kindergarten.
All classes enjoy daily Bible lessons, weekly music classes and monthly Chapel.
School is in session from 9:00 to 11:30 with the option of an extended day "Lunch Bunch" after-school program two or three times a week. Classes are held from after Labor Day in September until Memorial Day in May.
Highlights throughout the year include field trips, community helper visits, Christmas Program, classroom parties and celebrations, Dad Derby Day, Mothers' Chapel and Tea, a family picnic at a local park, and a Closing Program.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Goshen Baptist Preschool! We have been blessed to be a part of this amazing preschool community since 2013. They have truly become a second family! My oldest son, who is currently a 3rd grader in WCASD, attended the 3 year old program as well as the Pre-K2 program at GBP. He was more than ready academically and socially when it came time to go to kindergarten. I attribute a lot of his current success in the classroom to the foundation that was laid during his time at GBP. My youngest, has attended the 3 year old and Pre-K1 programs. He will be entering the Pre-K 2 program in the fall. He has made great strides and has made a lot of wonderful friends in the 2 years that he has been at GBP! The staff at GBP is very warm and welcoming! The director is waiting at the door each morning to greet the children and give them “hi-fives” as they enter the building. The teachers and assistants are always full of excitement when the children enter the classrooms. They genuinely care for each and every child. My husband and I put a lot of thought into choosing the right preschool for our children and visited several schools in the area. After visiting Goshen Baptist Preschool, I knew we had found the perfect school for our children to begin their education. There is a feeling of community and warmth that fills the school and is reflected in the students and teachers. The administration and teachers are dedicated, encouraging and invested in our children’s future. My two sons have thrived in the educational and faith based environment that Goshen Baptist provides. They have excelled not only academically but also in their socialization and self confidence. I cannot say enough great things about Goshen Baptist Preschool! All three of my children attended preschool here and each had a wonderful experience that prepared them for kindergarten. From the director’s friendly individual greeting each morning, to the caring and knowledgeable teachers, to the experienced assistants, GBP was a great way to start each child’s day, as well as their entire school journey. GBP offered a safe, loving educational environment where students learn through play, hands on activities and memorable experiences. There was excellent communication with parents pertaining to classroom, school wide, and even community activities, as well as, the progress and wellbeing of our children. The PreK2 program did an excellent job in providing an extra year of social and academic skills for my child with a summer birthday. When a teaching position became available, I jumped at the opportunity to interview for it. I am proud to continue to be a part of this amazing early education establishment even though my children have moved on to elementary school.
