Chesterbrook Academy West Chester offers a warm, supportive environment for students, from preschool through 5th grade, designed to foster academic growth and personal development. We have two campuses: one dedicated to preschool students and another for our elementary school. Our preschool curriculum, Links to Learning, taps into children’s natural curiosity and readiness to learn. Tailored for children ages 3 to 5, this curriculum provides fun, challenging, and engaging activities across five developmental stages, each introducing new concepts while reinforcing previously learned skills.
Links to Learning
In Language & Literacy, we create a love of reading by exposing children to stories, letters, and words. Through these experiences, children develop foundational language skills that support academic success. In Mathematical Thinking, children explore fun, hands-on activities that encourage problem-solving and logical thinking, laying the groundwork for more complex math concepts.
Social-Emotional Learning plays an essential role in helping children understand and manage their emotions, build relationships, and develop critical self-help skills. We also emphasize Wellness, encouraging physical activity, dance, and games to improve fine and gross motor skills, while also teaching essential lessons in nutrition and safety. Through Creative Expression, children engage with art and music, providing them with outlets for creative thinking and personal expression. In Scientific Exploration, we offer hands-on experiences that encourage collaboration and problem-solving, sparking children’s natural curiosity and building their critical thinking skills.
Our Citizens of the World curriculum introduces children to different cultures and languages, including Spanish, fostering global awareness and respect for diversity. This helps children develop a strong sense of empathy and belonging to a larger community.
Elementary
As students move into kindergarten through 5th grade, they benefit from a dynamic and engaging curriculum that fosters academic excellence and personal growth. Chesterbrook Academy West Chester is known for its strong academic program, offering a technology-enriched core curriculum that includes language arts, mathematics, social studies, science, foreign language, and the arts. Our Personalized Learning Plans ensure that each student’s unique academic and personal goals are met, with progress regularly monitored.
We also emphasize 21st Century Skills, such as communication, collaboration, and creativity, which are key to students’ success in today’s world. Beginning in kindergarten, our STEM Program immerses students in science, technology, engineering, and math, fostering decision-making and innovation. Additionally, through Service Learning, students connect with the community and learn how their actions have a broader impact.

Every morning, the entire school comes together for this special time, where we say the Pledge, share important updates, and celebrate our students' points of pride. From a student’s 7th birthday or a lost tooth, to achieving Grand Champion in First in Math or receiving a paw print for leading the Kindness Pledge, we celebrate every success.
